・Linear resonant actuator

Linear resonant actuator The linear resonant actuator realizes high-efficiency operation by driving at the resonant frequency. We are studying the control method using a machine learning and estimated load obtained by a sensor-less method to improve the performance when the unknown disturbance is worked to the actuator.

2-degree-of-freedom resonant actuator The 2-degree-of-freedom resonant actuator can drive in 2-degree-of-freedom by only one device. It is independently driven in two-axes using a current vector control. We are developing the sensor-less position control method and investigate the performance when the load is applied.

・Electromagnetic energy harvester using rotational vibration

  
回転振動を利用した電磁エネルギハーベスタ We are studying the electromagnetic energy harvester using a rotational vibration generated in a drive system of an automobile. The proposed harvester can generate electricity by maintenance-free, and the frequency design for power generation is easy. The performance evaluation by the model and principle verification using the prototype were conducted. It is clarified that the proposed harvester can generate electricity.

・Multi-degree-of-freedom optical scanner

Multi-degree-of-freedom optical scanner Optical scanners are used widely in many applications such as in barcode readers. Recently, optical scanners that have 2 degrees of freedom have been garnering attention. In this research, electromagnetic force and the resonance characteristics of plate springs are used to create a 2 DOF optical scanner. 3D FEM analysis is used to optimize the structure and a prototype is built to validate the analysis results.

In 2005, a method for haptic display using a linear oscillator under acceleration control was proposed, but it was too large and had only 1 degree of freedom. We are currently studying a 2-DOF oscillatory actuator and its control method for mobile haptic devices.
